Taurus in Love

This is one of a series of articles about astrology and love advice for women:

Ah, Taurus...

One of the most sensual, romantic, beautiful signs of them all.

Just thinking of the sign of Taurus makes me want to light some candles, put on some sexy music, eat a few strawberries dipped in chocolate, and take a hot, musky bubble bath followed by a long nap on perfumed, silk sheets...

Excuse me, I'll be right back.

Or perhaps not. :)

I'm now going to share with you the secrets of succeeding in love if you're a woman with the Sun, Moon, or rising sign in Taurus, or if you're in love with a man so zodiacally blessed...

There's a gorgeous myth in Vedic astrology about a constellation of stars in the sign of Taurus.

In this myth, the Moon is a man and he has twenty-seven wives. These "wives" are the twenty-seven constellations the Moon travels through in the night sky during the course of a month.

Each night he spends with a different one of his many brides.

But his favorite of them all is in Taurus because she is the most beautiful, sensual, and pleasurable.

When the Moon is with her, all of his needs are met and his best qualities come forward as she is so incredibly gifted in music, cooking, and the "conjugal arts."

(Wink, wink...)

She's so alluring and beguiling that the Moon goes absolutely loony for her.

(Get it - loony? :))

I mean really - what more could a guy want?

Whenever he would visit this wife, he'd long to endlessly stay with her and reject his other wives.

This made the "gods" so angry, they threw the Moon into darkness, which is how the ancients explained new Moons and lunar eclipses (nights when the Moon had no light and couldn't be seen).

As with all myths, there are many "symbolic" truths in this story.

Taurus is "ruled," or most influenced by the planet Venus, the planet of beauty and pleasure of all kinds.

Thus, Tauruses love "wine, women and song" - they love good food, romance, and anything that pleases the senses.

When involved with a Taurus, make sure to be as well-groomed and fabulously dressed as possible, because he'll care a great deal about your choices in personal "adornments" from your hairdo down to your shoes (and everything in between).

(I once dated a Taurus man that actually was so into fashion that he read "Harper's Bazaar" and "Vogue," preferring to look at women in clothing than to women naked - and he wasn't even gay! :))

And he'll be very into his own grooming, too.

(One Taurus couple I know treat each other to "his and her" manicures, pedicures, and facials regularly.)

So appreciate how he adorns himself - I recommend swooning over his cologne, "oohing and ahhing" over his home decor and artwork, and complimenting his ties...

But be careful trying to purchase any of the above things for him as gifts - he'll prefer his taste to anyone else's, and often return or exchange clothing or furniture from others. For this reason he'll LOVE gift certificates...

(My "Moon in Taurus" father took back pretty much every necktie, sweater, and shirt anyone ever bought him, always saying, "I'd rather be pleased than surprised...")

Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac, and the second sign and second house of a chart in astrology both have to do with speaking, singing, possessions, food, and the ability to accumulate income.

So the key to a Taurus man's heart is through feeding him scrumptuous meals and desserts, speaking or singing to him sweetly, surrounding him with things of beauty, and having your financial affairs in order.

Taurus is an earth sign, so those born under this sign are pragmatic, reliable, and dependable (but they'll make any excuse to "overdo it" when it comes to pleasure).

So if you're in a relationship with one, you'd better be pragmatic, reliable, and dependable, too!

The symbol for the sign of Taurus is the bull, and under this fixed sign can certainly be found "bull-headed" types.

If he's "fixed" his sights on you or declared his undying love, he'll be tough to shake.

In fact, he'll want most of your time and attention and get "bent out of shape" if you spend any time with other men - even your brother!

Taurus, being the natural sign of "possessions" can be too possessive this way.

So, if you're a Taurus woman, be careful not to "crowd" the man in your life.

And if you're with a Taurus man, most likely he's looking for a permanent fixture on his arm for every occasion, so clear your social calendar and be at his beck and call.

It takes a lot to make a Taurus angry, but when it happens, watch out! And if you've really ticked him off and he's said he's "done" with you, he'll be hard to woo back.

And, should you get into a "battle of wills" - find a way to happily give in, as a Taurus can wait and wait "until the cows come home."

(Get it - cows?)

Work out those frustrations in their favorite place - the bedroom!

Taurus is one of the lustiest, most passionate of signs.

But they tend to be a bit old-fashioned and conservative, so keep the pornography and dirty talk locked in your closet, so to speak, and instead...

...thrill your Taurus lover with gorgeous lingerie, scented sheets (with high thread count), bubble baths, massage lotions, and mood music.

(One of my Taurus girlfriends takes a daily bubble bath, and has spent more money in her lifetime on lingerie than I've spent on cars... :))

Since Tauruses love food, adding erotic edible treats to your activities "between the sheets" will make him oh-so-happy.

(Think flavored finger paints, whipped cream or melted chocolate on your skin, and blind-folded feeding sessions...)

Okay, this is a wholesome, "family- friendly" newsletter, so I'll cut that out now!

Patience pays with these plodding, stubborn, slow-to-change types. He'll prefer to plan vs. be spontaneous, but don't worry - his plans will be elegant, refined, and high priced!

He'll choose swanky hotels over camping, cultural events to ball games, and eating at places with cloth napkins and table cloths vs. bar-be-que any day!

Even if he's on a tight budget, he'll prefer tea at the Ritz to burgers at a diner. So make luxury living a priority to keep his heart singing.

Success is important to those born under this sign (they need a way to satisfy their fabulous "caviar" tastes, after all), but tends to come with slow, steady progress.

So if you've met one early in his life's journey, lavish him with encouragement and praise, even if his position doesn't match his vision just yet.

Taurus is a feminine sign, which in astrology means it's more about BEING than DOING.

In a crisis, a Taurus may retreat vs. being the cavalry here to "save the day."

And they can be lazy (and as I've made abundantly clear - INDULGENT!) so will love long, cozy days snuggled up with you in a hammock, or watching romantic movies with plenty of buttery popcorn and sweet drinks.

(And speaking of indulgent, the guy I mentioned that read fashion magazines could put away SIX bottles of wine in an afternoon such as this - by HIMSELF - so I got rid of him quickly. But I digress...).

But beware, this laziness and tendency to "indulge" can lead a Taurus man or woman to "pack on the pounds" and get as squishy as their luscious down pillows.

So, if you're a Taurus gal, be sure to stick to an exercise routine, and if you're involved with a Taurus man, encourage him to stay active...

(Try throwing on a hot, short tennis outfit or buy him an expensive, sleek mountain bike in his favorite color to lure him off the couch.)

Because Taurus is a feminine sign, be very careful bringing a Taurus man your love problems or doubts...

If you talk about perhaps wanting a "break" from him when really you want him to FIGHT for you and prove his love - he'll let you go, thinking he's giving you what you want...

Which would be just a shame, because who else will grow you such gorgeous tulips, write you such ardent poetry, and be such a handsome, dashing escort to the latest art gala?

That's right, life with a healthy Taurus is full of the best of everything a woman could want - so if you've found love with one, consider yourself blessed and hold on tight...

If what I've just written has confused you because I usually say not to worry about a man's sign because the signs of the zodiac don't have a lot to do with relationships, let me clarify...

Although knowing about signs doesn't tell you much about how you'll FEEL with a man or whether or not you're compatible in terms of how you relate to each other, learning about the signs can tell you a great deal about how to understand yourself and him.

But if you'd like to know how you'll FEEL together and if you have enough DESTINY as a couple to really BE TOGETHER, then consider getting a RIGHT MAN REPORT done.

"The Right Man Report" is a lengthy compatibility report between you and a man that compares not what signs you are - but what SUBSIGNS your MOONS fall into.

The subsign of your Moon reveals your psychology and emotional nature, and, amazingly, by comparing yours to that of a man's, you can learn all about your relationship (or potential relationship).

You can finally understand if you can be on the same wavelength, if your relationship can make you feel loved and secure, and if you and he have the same sensibilities.

OR, if no matter what you do, he'll always leave you feeling frustrated and unhappy.

No matter his sign...
